Ffs. I'd like to take my son to Legoland. I don't drive. We live in the north west not too far from Manchester so it's usually a straight forward single train journey down to Slough from Manchester plus BBCa bus/taxi from the station. Due to engineering works we'd have to go via London. So into Euston, tube to Paddington, then train to Slough, bus/taxi to Legoland. The journey time is much longer and I don't want to travel across London to get somewhere this side if London. The ticket office couldn't even tell me when things will be back to normal. The strikes have affected the earlier school holidays enough without this giving us s summer if limited options. i know theres probably not a great time to do engineering works but the summer holidays must be the worst.
Is it unreasonable considering the drive to use public transport and the high cost of a ticket to expect disruption to be minimal during the holidays?
