To be sick of hearing about how we are being ripped off by everyone

First its the banks ripping us off. Then its the supermarkets. The water companies the electricity and gas. Now latest is petrol. I wish they'd give it a rest. So depressing.

You wish they’d stop ripping us off or stop going on about it?

personally I’m very happy to see these rip off merchants being exposed.

EmmiJay · 03/07/2023 23:11

I'm glad they're all being exposed tbh. So, can't relate 🫤

kayserah · 03/07/2023 23:14

Petrol is cheaper now than it has been all year! But they are ripping us off in other ways

Both I think. They go on and on about it but there seems little the consumer can do about it. So frustrating.

This is what we pay useless civil servants for. The ones at ofwat, ofgem and million other quangos. To not do anything about anything. The biggest con are the useless people running public organizations.

It's thinking like that, that allows everything to rip us off. That is exactly what they rely on. See when someone complains, often times people get annoyed rather than listen to the complaint. Companies know this. Companies know a whole lot more about human behavior than any of us, and they use it for thier advantage. As long as the complaints don't get too numerous or get pointed out by someone with influence, companies don't care at all. But one could also blame our own government because they are the ones that make the laws that allow it.

Corporate greed allowed by the Tories as it keeps their rich mates rich

I’m more sick of being ripped off left right and centre than hearing about it tbh.
No there isn’t much we can do but if we don’t even talk about it then they’ll never be held accountable.

lol how is that bigoted?
Google is your friend here, the tories have had millions from oil and gas for instance. Not to mention the links to private health companies.

Absolutely!

I have a friend with connections to a recently ex Tory MP.

Depriving schools of services then setting up a private company to sell the same services to the same schools.
Private company has brought in a healthy profit, now sold for millions.

Meeting business colleagues ‘off shore’ ( yatchs) so that the ministerial code is not broken.
Going into business with Arab countries, fronted by an ex PM.

Just the same as any of our services where profits should be re-invested rather than profits going to shareholders. (child care, elderly care, SEND/private provision, water, health etc etc)
