Has anyone dealt with land registry lately?

We’re waiting on a transfer of deeds from in-laws to my husband before we can mortgage a property, was just wondering how long this has taken for anyone who’s done something similar recently? Lots of conflicting advice online about waiting times!

I deal with LR for work and the turnaround times are pretty long at the moment. When you say "transfer of deeds" do you mean your inlaws have transferred the property to your husband? Was it a registered property or unregistered? (If unregistered then the wait will be even longer as they will need to do a first registration and the wait for those can be over a year.)

I have no idea tbh! I imagine it was registered. It was in trust for a long time but they’ve now signed it all over to my husband. However, we can’t proceed with the remortgage until land registry have done their bit
