It’s well known that a lot of non plus sized non POC conventionally attractive instagram models have hijacked the BP movement for their own financial gain and by doing so diluted it’s importance and meaning
As it was originally intended for marginalised bodies of all intersections,
was having a conversation with a relative about this , their view is that the popularity of BBLs (also incredibly dangerous) and fillers etc helps make plus sized women more accepted in society and making things better for them,
myview is by only celebrating features like big bum, hips, thighs,breasts,lips,cheeks when these features are on a non Plus body , and certain companies only giving modelling opportunities to the BBL & liposuction quite unnatural look, type models only further pushes BP into the shadows and excludes actual plus sized women more , also financially gaining & fetishising those bodily features without having the lived experience of being plus sized .
