Will 1 sedentary week out of 4 massively impact health? Low ferritin and periods

Just wondering really. I've got a distinct pattern where my period week I'm mostly on the couch. I am so exhausted from a couple of days before and then have days of massive constant clots and the fatigue (mental and physical) crushes me.

My ferritin is low, my folate is low, but haemoglobin is great, at the higher end. So my gp says all fine and not to take iron and there's some cancer link which does scare me as a lot of hormonal cancer in women in my family.

My gynaecologist doesn't care. Transvaginal ultrasound fine.

I'm just so tired and wonder if a week slumped on the sofa will be damaging me from a sedentary lifestyle perspective?

Rest of the month energy isn't stunningly abundant or anything I still get absolutely wiped out but physically can do much more low impact stuff. I walk a decent amount as we live in a city, and go to one or two yoga classes a week that I get a lot of benefit from.

Is a balance of three weeks out of four of reasonable, low impact activity ok or what would you do?

What's the iron cancer risk?

I would def take folate if that is low (and it's easily fixed)

I think it's unlikely to be dreadful - what will matter is your overall activity if you look at periods of a few months at a time. Make sure you're moving enough that you're not at risk of a clot, and have a think about some gentle exercise (maybe some of the easier stretches from your yoga class at home?).
