Who has a glass of wine?

My husband is having a glass of whiskey and I mentioned I was disappointed my wine was finished as I fancied a tipple.

He said 'well you shouldn't have drunk it so quickly, a glass a night is enough.

For context I opened the wine about 4 days ago and finished it over two nights with dinner.

Aibu to say you can't compare a bottle of wine to a bottle of whiskey?

I have one glass of wine. 🤷

Plenty of people can have one glass of wine.

I don’t understand from what you’ve said if you drank the whole bottle in 2 nights - half a bottle a night - or opened it one day and also had some on 2 other nights?

If you drank half a bottle of wine every night then, although it isn’t a massive amount on any given night, it’s a lot over the week.

However, if the case was when you went to the shop, you bought a bottle of wine for yourself and your husband bought himself a bottle of whiskey, and expected them to last the same amount of time, then he is totally unreasonable as they are completely different things.

Well it sounds like you normally have a glass of wine

Gremlins101 · 27/06/2023 22:01

Did I write this post? Are you me? Is your husband my husband?

I hope you get more wine soon!

Mamabear2424 · 27/06/2023 22:04

A glass is nice but 2 is better per night :)

iamrageohtheresakitty · 27/06/2023 23:32

If you want a glass of wine, open a bottle, have a glass of wine. What you husband or MN says is irrelevant

mondaytosunday · 27/06/2023 23:45

Are you saying he's drinking a bottle of whiskey at the same rate you drank the wine?
Next time buy a couple bottles so if you fancy a second glass you can have one.
A 150ml glass of wine is roughly equal to a shot of whiskey - how big is the glass he's having?
