I'm about to apply to study paediatric nursing, and been reading lots into the current state of the NHS but most of what I've read is from the perspective of junior doctors and I want to go into it with a clear and realistic view of healthcare.
If you're a nurse, do you enjoy your job and what area of nursing are you in? How do you feel the progression is?
I've worked for the NHS before as a lab assistant working 12 hour shifts on my feet for £21,000 so I'm used to long and tiring shifts with poor pay, albeit behind the scenes rather than patient-facing.
