completesave.co.uk - charging my credit card without me realising

So somehow, I apparently subscribed to WLYCOMPLETESAVE.CO.UK and they have been charging me £15 every so often for absolutely nothing. The nice man at Natwest said that I must have ticked a box when I was buying something online and it automatically signs you up. Does anyone have any experience of dealing with them? Is there anything I can do? *

Not sure, but I think if you cancel that card the payments will stop. I had to cancel a card. When I lost it and had to reset some recurring payments.

My bank have filled out a form to stop the payments. I am just shocked that a company can create a recurrent charge so easily. It my fault for not checking my statements properly as well.

It's a genuine company. The advisor at the bank was correct. You need to contact 'complete save' directly by phone and explain that you haven't required their services, they will be able to check you haven't received any cashback or vouchers and may offer you a refund for the additional charges. This link will explain it and may also jog your memory on what the joining information looks like when you were signed up.

I've just discovered that this company WLY*COMPLETESAVE has been billing me monthly on a savings account I had rarely used apart from to put funds in. Lately my activity has stepped up and checking my statement showed a strange payment. I checked for any previous payments and found there had been many...my fault for not checking this account properly. The bank stopped the S.O., explained what had happened and told me to contact the company and ask for reimbursement. If refused, I should ask for a part reimbursement but if they still refused then to write and warn I was handing this over to the bank, who would get involved. On this company's website it says in order to join a Join Form has to be filled in. While it's possible to accidentally click on something, I wouldn't have joined anything I would be regularly charged for without remembering it. This 'joining' was apparently done while on a site buying flowers. This happened far too easily and obvious that companies who operate in thiscway require some tougher regulation. Just something else ghastly to beware of on the internet, and a reminder to check bank statements.

This happened to me. I was searching and comparing car insurance and some how also managed to tick a box for Complete Save. I just immediately cancelled the payment and the direct debit. Seems to have been alright since. Luckily only 1 payment had gone out. I’ll be looking out for it next time. I’m a reasonably computer savvy 60 year old and I got caught out. It’s all very wrong.
