Hi

Posting for traffic.

We've moved house 3 times since we got married 9 years ago and just cannot find our marriage certificate.

I need to order a new passport with my new surname, I know they won't take photocopies but if I order a copy from register office will they accept that?

Thanks in advance x

Yes it will just be the same thing as if you'd ordered two copies when you got married. It's a certificate of an entry in the register.

Yes you can buy a certified copy of it and use that. I ordered a few copies when we first got ours and have never had any problems with any of them being accepted

Panic over as we found it! Thank you!
