I was just browsing BBC news website and came across this story

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-65911220

So sad.

Only 30 and diagnosed with terminal cancer after losing two sons.

Made me think some people really are dealt with a bad hand in life 😔

Yes
I have a work contact who I last saw in 2019

bursting with health, amateur dancer, trained about 12 hours a week

developed an auto immune disease which is attacking her muscle tissue, looks like wheelchair is next. Surgery required on some joints but they think her heart is too weak to stand it.

her husband was a stay at home and now she's broke but if she leaves him, does he get half the house?

I know there's tons of examples but that one is on my mind at the mo.

Loads of people are.

My friend grew up in a really difficult, impoverished home, with parents with mh issues. She's got learning issues herself and has overcome so many challenges but gets hit with everything, shit luck at work despite working really hard, kids with various health & social issues. Every time she soldiers on and overcomes stuff she gets hit with some different run of shit luck.

I can't remember her name, but a reality star who lost both parents, then her infant daughter, then had a late miscarriage and then revealed evidence her ex had committed dv against her

Yes they are. I've seen some people show such courage and determination it's inspiring. Some people I've met have the most privileged and sheltered lives they literally have no idea about life for so many people. That's you Sunak !
