...just that...as if any more reason were required.

All the Mumsnetters flocked to read it when the PS stuff was going on, I can't see that changing, it was like the Oracle then.

AutumnCrow · 16/06/2023 18:36

All the Mumsnetters flocked

Did they indeed?

3dogsandarabbit · 16/06/2023 18:36

Well a lot of mumsnetters do read the mail with the amount of links on this site.

User16387640 · 16/06/2023 18:36

Oh, yes they did

BenandGerrys · 16/06/2023 18:37

I didn't even know he had a new job ??🤔

Oh no they didn't

Oh no they didn't

Read the PS threads and you will see they did, clamouring for the next instalment

No, 'All the Mumsnetters' did not. Many Mumsnetters have specifically said on separate threads that either they don't give a fuck about or don't understand the obsession with Schofield, and/or don't care, and/or don't know much if anything about This Morning or its presenters.

So All the Mumsnetters didn't do what you said.

Florenz · 16/06/2023 18:55

I can't imagine many people who already read the Mail will stop reading it because of Boris now writing for it.

WeightInLine · 16/06/2023 18:56

I tried to read the article. It was so long winded and baggy. Either he is out of practice or the Mail needed a big word count.

HRTQueen · 16/06/2023 18:57

I doubt if it’s what you prefer to read much will change

no doubt his articles will be popular with those that love and those that despise him

Also at least one Mumsnetter (me) was quite interested in the Schofield affair but didn't read any of the Daily Mail coverage because she boycotts the Daily Mail. Guessing I'm not quite alone in that.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, obviously my grammar isn't as good as yours

I am very amused by the fact that he didn't bother referring his new job to the post-ministerial appointments committee, in flagrant breach of the ministerial code.

Say what you like about the man, you can't deny he's consistent.

User16387640 · 16/06/2023 19:00

Surely people will just the read the bits they want in the mail like the other papers, they can just miss out the Boris bits

Itisyourturntowashthebath · 16/06/2023 19:06

How the mighty have fallen, guess he will be writing for The Light next year.

StaunchMomma · 16/06/2023 19:09

As if we needed more reasons to not read the Daily Fail.

LaBefana · 16/06/2023 19:10

A lot of Mumsnetters, or a very vocal mall number, seem to think the Mail is great because of its support for Elon Musk's views on trans issues.

User16387640 · 16/06/2023 19:10

I doubt he will be writing in it for long, the salary won't be that much.

WeightInLine · 16/06/2023 19:19

Apparently ‘high six figures’.

But I agree with you @User16387640 he won’t be writing it for long because 1) he’s lazy and 2) it won’t be popular or even noteworthy.

Better than the Guardian throwing women away like a used tissue.

Do clarify, please.

Wny would anyone need multiple reasons not to read a particular newspaper? It's not like you need to submit a written excuse 😁
