I’ve had issues with bulging discs in my back and now have a trapped nerve down from my neck to my fingers. It makes my arm numb and weak and causes constant nerve pain. I’ve been to A&E twice and they won’t help. GP prescribed some drugs but said they are not allowed to refer for MRI unless I can’t walk.
The only thing that works is Oramorph which a friend gave me when it took 111 NHS 2 days to get back to me over bank hol weekend, A&E doctor was vile and gave me nothing after a 9 hr wait and I had only over counter stuff.
I’ve been living with this hideous nerve pain for 2 weeks now and it’s worse if anything. I’ve been using the oramorph sparingly at night on the worst days and it’s nearly run out and I can’t bear it. AIBU to think this is unacceptable to leave me with no effective pain relief for so long? I don’t know what to do 😭
