I remember my amazing mum always made time to play. Im trying so hard to not be too busy or tired or stressed.
Unlike my mum I am trying to have a career rather than always take on easy admin roles which fitted around pick ups. DC's are fine with being in childcare after school.

Yes, me. My mum was much tougher than me (she needed to be). She was also much younger (20 years younger!) and had loads of energy. We were poor, and lived in horribly substandard emergency council housing, but she never made a fuss, never did the woe is me, refused to be a victim.

I feel very soft by comparison. I have it much easier than she did. But I do have more time for my kids than she ever had, and a much more nurturing approach.
