Cartoon with rough collie. Did I imagine this?!

When I was a small child (probably 4 or 5 in mid 90s) I remember watching a cartoon which had what I think was a rough collie as the main character. It wasn't Lassie, but I remember the dog running in the opening credits, and it had other dog friends of different breeds. Does anyone know what I could possibly be thinking of? I've been trying to remember for years but my searches always fail!

Could it be Road Rovers? One of the main dogs there was a British Rough Collie?

I can't think of a cartoon Rough Collie.

What-A-Mess had a tv cartoon, he could be misremembered as a rough collie I guess... but not sure about the 'other dogs' part of it as if the cartoon was like the books, asides from his Mum (rarely seen) there weren't any. Just the Cat Nextdoor and lots of weird little critters.
