I appreciate this is a bit of a 1st world problem but
I bought a ring from Liberty of London in the sale for Dd's b'day.
Showed her 1st to check she'd like. Purchased. Got email confirmation.
Very excited Dd. A whole 17 hours later I got a 'sorry, no longer in stock' email
that's a bit crap, isn't it?

parr for the course with liberty- about 70% of my sale purchases have been cancelled over past few years
most comes from a warehouse but some from the shop floor- stuff on the shop floor sells out

Not really. Sometimes things go wrong and we can't always get what we want. It's a shame but I'm sure there are other rings.

medianewbie · 06/06/2023 18:42

@Lockheart I'm well aware of that thanks.
but they were quick enough to take the money from my account, yet it took nearly 24 hours to tell me that they didnt in fact have the item & will refund my money in around 4 days time. Why don't they have a more accurate stock system? It's clearly not a blip if @MillbankTower finds it happens 70% of time.

Yes I've had this. Very annoying.
I've also put things in a basket (not Liberty) and by the time I check out it's no longer in stock. I think they should 'hold' it for say ten minutes while you look at other things.
