To think the papers saying Holly and Phil fell out because they were slammed for jumping the queue to see the Queens coffin is stupid.

The papers stated that things became uneasy because other people criticised them for queue jumping. Also that PS is very difficult and falls out with his colleagues very easily. Nothing more serious like keeping his brothers very serious crime a secret from his colleague and supposed close friend.

In my opinion something definitely did start to go wrong with them around that time. There may be some truth in those headlines. Maybe Philip wanted to que jump or Holly did then when the backlash happened it caused friction between them. I think the que jumping was definitely the catalyst for everything that's happened/came out since.

I think the tension was visible around that time so it could be that or the fact that the stories were coming out regarding PS and his brother

Maybe Scofield pushed for the queue jumping and Willoughby uncertain, so felt let down. They were not at all apologetic about it. Plus no film was ever aired of their work on that day. Obviously further events happened of much greater seriousness, but the Queen's Gambit was the start of it.
