Moving your dirt to outside your neighbours house

Boringbabs · 04/06/2023 14:27

Is it acceptable to clean the front of your house, included the pavement, and leave it all on the road /path in front of your neighbours house?

YABU - of course it us
YANBU - cleaning neighbour is a dirty CF

Sweep it all back in front of their house

FurryPelmet · 04/06/2023 14:31

Actually laughed at loud at this. What unbelievable cheeky fuckery!

LakeTiticaca · 04/06/2023 15:04

I sweep it straight back and add some more for good measure 😉

ComtesseDeSpair · 04/06/2023 15:22

I think it’s fine to sweep into the road, even if that section of the road happens to be in front of your house. If they’re sweeping onto your garden or private path, not acceptable.

This used to be the norm when we had street sweepers but as they now seem to be extinct where we live it seems counter productive.

FloofCloud · 04/06/2023 15:30

I wouldn't t even notice!! I wait for a good rainstorm which cleans off my driveway 😬😆

mumda · 04/06/2023 16:08

Ah streetsweepers ... @Iwantmyoldnameback we have those here but only in the run up to elections.

ChiefAdjusterOfRubensShorts · 04/06/2023 16:35

My DM’s next door neighbour used to do this, sweep all the leaves up off the pavement (that came from HER tree) and pile them up at the bottom of DM’s drive.

I used to then go out and dump them over her gate into her garden.

CFery!

tatteddear · 04/06/2023 17:04

I always think this about people with leaf blowers. Why is it ok to blow your leaves out in to the road?

JudgeRudy · 04/06/2023 17:07

Of course neighbour is a CF. I just cant imagine bothering to sweep up but not pick up. How petty.
I'd hate to be on this street when it snows.

TheRealHousewife · 04/06/2023 17:22

@Boringbabs it isn’t ok. It’s passive aggressive and disrespectful. We’ve caught our ‘well to do’ neighbours jet washing all their patio debri/soil/crap deliberating onto our property more than once. The first time we cleaned it up and asked them not to do it again. The second time my OH blasted it back. The following morning it was back on our property.

Boringbabs · 04/06/2023 18:13

Thank you for making me stop questioning my sanity! My OH thinks it’s not an issue to get upset about but it annoys the f out of me.

for what it’s worth neighbour has complete form for being passive aggressive, he’s done this a few times. There’s also the times he cleans his bin and pours out the juice outside our house.
oh and the times he’s asked me to move my car so the bin men don’t bang into his car. Move your own car dick head!

No, that's unacceptable. And silly really, as it could all end up blowing back to theirs!
