How many dates before sex..

I'm just wondering...I know it depends on the individuals...and also what do you do on dates before you actually have sex? So do you have dinner dates / cinema / an activity date?

In our case, 4th date. First date was drinks in a bar. Second dates we went to an exhibition….. followed by drinks in a bar. Third was a meal in a restaurant. Fourth was meal at my place.

Usually 3rd or 4th, much longer after that and it feels a bit awkward.

Have sex when you want to have sex and feel ready for it. You can’t put a number on it IMO.

If I don't want sex with them at first then I probably never will.
Attraction doesn't grow for me

Yes of course, providing attraction is there...how many dates do people go on before having sex and what do you on dates? I know there isn't a magic number but I'm just wondering

It was about the 5th with me and DH i think.

1st 2nd and 3rd date was drinks in a pub.
4th date was sharing a bottle of wine on a blanket in the evening by the river wathcing the boats (which went on till v late)(mid summer)
The date on the blanket had got very steamy so 5th date was a hotel 😃

Repeat offender for doing it on the first date. I really need to stop that!

it hasn’t hurt the chances at a relationship. I’m the one who has ended things after 3 or 4 dates so it hasn’t made them not call me.

I'd rather just get straight on with the sex and save the dating part for after the ice has been broken. Sitting at a table trying to make light dinner conversation with somebody I barely know is excruciating, plus I don't want to waste time on somebody who's crap at the important stuff 🤔

1st date 😳still very happily married 15 years later, I'm fully aware that we probably just got very lucky finding each other! FWIW that was the first time I'd ever done that on a first date too

Whenever it feels right. First date with my exH - we were together 22yrs. ExP second date as I had to get back to my kids (babysitter), together 8yrs. My current bf, first date but we knew each other for years before we got together. Together 2yrs so far. I like to know if we are sexually compatible before wasting time!

3rd, though if we had lived closer it may well have been second, sometimes you just know

Met my (now) husband just before last orders and a couple of hours later he was back at my bedsit! 21 years later we have 2 kids and our one night stand did us no harm at all.

Up to you but for me never first date. I've been celibate for 6 years so it will be a while 😆

I've had sex on first dates before, but with DP I waited 5 weeks. We meet on tinder and I wasn't interested in casual sex (like a lot of the men seemed to be). No sex was a good way of filtering out the creeps.

Date wise, we went on walks, for meals and drinks out, comedy night, nights in with a film and takeaway. Mostly walks

4th I think for me and DP! Which makes me feel very respectable.

I would also like to know about the types of dates you had leading up to sex 😊

With ex we had 3 dates...first 2 meals and third was drinks - he came back to mine and we did the deed

DH and I waited for 6 weeks. We worked together so I wanted to be really sure he was a good egg and that it had the potential to go somewhere.

We went on dates to the pub, cinema, walks during work lunch break. Comedy clubs, theatre, that sort of thing too. We’ve been married 7 years and together 13.

We were dating for about four months before we had sex. I guess types of dates will vary depending on where you live and your budget, surely if its an activity you’d enjoy with a friend, you’d probably enjoy it as a date.

I honestly can’t remember with my first relationship. Probably 3 or 4. Lost in the mists of time. Together 2 decades. Current 3 dates. 2 weeks chatting online, then a pub date, then a dinner date, then another dinner date and I didn’t go home that time.
