Smelly Shoes Smelly Feet

I have super smelly shoes and super smelly feet.
I feel like I’ve tried everything over the years to make this better.
I am now putting my shoes in the washing machine every week. I don’t wear the same spare 2 days running. New socks everyday (sometimes 2/3 times a day). Shower everyday. Never sleep in socks and socks off around the house whenever possible (little kids - Lego!!).

YABU - This is crazy! You stink.
YANBU - I’ll give you some advice!

@Smallonesaremorejuicy you are kidding 🤦🏻‍♀️ she's trying to get rid of odour and you want to replace it with urine smell. Dirty 🤮

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 03/06/2023 01:45

No it actually works. As I said wash & dry your feet after soaking in the urine .

Soak your socks in a nappy/laundry sanitiser. I don’t know the brand names in the UK but here it’s called Napisan or Vanish. It’ll kill off any bacteria or fungi causing the smell. I do this for my family’s socks and no one has smelly feet anymore.

I get this in the summer with having sweaty feet. I realised the only thing that helped was using the files/pumice stones for removing dead skin. I did everything and this works the best. I'd never considered using one before as I don't have dry or hard skin on my feet. But A light 'sand' couple of times a week after my daily shower is all a need, and I use leather shoes.

Plain soap
Leather shoes
Cotton or other natural fibre socks eg wool. Synthetic socks are vile. Cotton are best.
Wear sandals eg birkenstocks in summer.
Treat any bacterial infections.

Its hard to dry trainers properly after putting them in washing machine. They are probably constantly damp inside which will smell and worsen the issue
