Family member wants to take my DC tomorrow, they are age 9-11. anyone who has seen it, would that be alright? I keep reading about disturbing scenes./ They love the fist two and have seen all the Marvel films.

There are a couple of upsetting/disturbing scenes so depends on the child. 11yo ds loved it but perhaps would have found the odd bit too much at 9.

If they’ve watched the others then I think it’s ok. Couple of upsetting scenes showing things similar to animal testing etc but nothing too graphic

Itsautumn · 31/05/2023 21:08

Saw it with my 11 year old. The bad language surprised me a bit. F word and there seemed to be more swearing than with the other 2 films. There are a couple of scenes that are a bit upsetting if the kids are sensitive. Full of action and we enjoyed it though.

WhyCantPeopleBeNice · 31/05/2023 21:12

The swearing didn't bother me, but as an animal lover I found it horrific, and sadly the end didn't make the hard scenes worth it personally

I wished we'd waited until it came out on dvd/streaming because I could have paused when I needed a break.

As for taking a 9 and 11 year old, it really is less to do with age and more their sensitivity and understanding of animal testing

EVHead · 31/05/2023 21:15

Yeah the animal testing stuff is tough to watch. It depends on how sensitive the kids are.

CreamTeaThievery · 31/05/2023 21:20

My 10yo was fine with it, he has loved the other marvel films.

Lots of swearing though I agree.

MoggyMittens23 · 31/05/2023 21:48

Not particularly sensitive kids. I have said they can go 😬 hopefully not the wrong decision

My niece is 11 and quite sensitive but was ok with the animal scenes. My 7 year old nephew loved it and wasn't phased.

Hope your children enjoy it, I thought it was the best one.
