Mainly not sending, and not just sporadically, but at all.
I just came across an item I really wanted, but the seller has 9 1ratings. They do have a lot of items out there and the reviews are spread across a few months. Then every once in a while do post something, which still brings down the average to something like 2,5.

I get that on ebay sellers get the money and you could almost treat it like a payday loan- the money is refunded eventually, so you at least have it for a bit before it gets refunded to the buyer. But on vinted the money is not released until the buyer confirms receiving it, so why list things if you never intend on posting them?

Maybe intended to but just didn't get round to it. I stopped selling because posting the items was just too much hassle

Yeah, but then you eventually pull out. Some people kjust keep the items and rake up negative reviews, I wondered what was the point or maybe there was some weird benefit to it.

I once bought item, got a refund after it never got sent, and then the seller (without even syain sorry) offered for me to buy it again after she relisted. Why would she think I'd buy again?

I think with Vinted the items can be on for so long that they may have sold elsewhere and forgotten to remove, given to charity or lost the item?
I had one once that had been on for 9 months, purchased the item and then the seller contacted me to tell me she couldn't find the item. I wouldn't dream of giving a negative review because of that. The only thing they've done wrong is not keeping on top of their for sale items.

I have 2 automatic 1 ratings as there was an issue with vinted not emailing me to say something had sold and I don’t check the app regularly. All the rest are 5 though, so my average is still 4.8.

An occasional 1* happens, but there are people who have loads and clearly don't post. A few accepted offers and still didnt mail- why accept then if they dont want to send?

I sold on Vinted for the first time ever last week. First of all I didn’t have my notifications set properly so I didn’t even know the item sold until 2 days later.

Then Vinted sent me a postage label that was bigger than the parcel I was posting and no way to resize the label. Full A4 page sized label when selling a bracelet.

Messaged Vinted to resolve and took 4 days to get a response.

New label sent and printed that evening. Went to post the next morning and had a notification that Vinted cancelled the sale as not posted.

It’s not that easy to use from a seller point of view. Don’t think I will bother again.

It's weird, isn't it? I mean why bother, if chances are you're going to let someone down.

Passwordsarestressful · 28/05/2023 17:22

Vinted is a massive pita to sell on.
As PP said, stuff is on there so long, I forget. I was all fired up to sell when I listed stuff, but 8 weeks later when a jumper sold I couldn't be arsed. It was one time, but I won't bother again.

This happened to me. I bought some shoes. 5days later seller says she can't post with impost, so I cancel the order and re buy using Evri. 5 days later get a refund as she didn't post. Just looked and she relisted them. Why?!?!
