For those who do not have time to read all 82 pages, let me summarise main points for you.

-Lab was critically understaffed and unsafe
-Errors were made including binning eggs, using wrong media, using expired media, not topping up tanks with patients' material. Success rates were poor.
-Business manager was pushing for more patients (60% instead of 35%) to have invasive ICSI as it was more profitable. Without clinical indications.
-Lab manager was reporting all the problems but she was being ignored. She was asking for the workload to be reduced but instead, business manager was asking for it to be increased for profits.

Because tribunals are personal matters maybe?

Grossnegligence · 16/05/2023 17:54

So should vulnerable patients just be exploited?

Wow OP, that is shocking.

LividHouse · 16/05/2023 17:58

That’s terrifying.

I had three IVF miscarriages that cost me £25k, and it was the most stressful thing I’ve ever gone through.

I’m not surprised it’s so cash driven at all, but the thought of people’s lives being destroyed like this is too much.

The tribunal result is being reported now because there is a result.

Anywhere storing human gametes needs a licence from the HFEA which is the regulatory body. I'd imagine once there is an outcome of their investigation that will be reported too, i.e. the clinic will lose their licence.

I hope this will get wider coverage even if they do not lose the license. People planning to have treatments there have the right to know.

@LividHouse I am so sorry you have been through so much ❤
