To ask why I’m starting to look like a Weebil

Ok I’m 59 so not exactly a spring chicken but I just don’t understand why in the last year or so I’ve started to look like a weebil. My arms and legs are the same but my middle well below my belly button and above my hips is just getting bigger and bigger. I’m pretty healthy, exercise, don’t drink excessively. What is the matter with me

Has your weight increased? Or is it the same weight that seems to have changed its distribution?

Have you still got your uterus and ovaries? Any

Any other symptoms of anything?

StopStartStop · 16/05/2023 11:28

It's ok. You might wobble but you won't fall down.

rose69 · 16/05/2023 11:28

At least you won't fall down

ArcticLadybird · 16/05/2023 11:29

Go to your GP, it could be a fluid filled ovarian cyst that needs removing.

RoseBucket · 16/05/2023 11:30

I’m the same! But I’m very office based and have started to try running in the hope it shifts or at least distributes a little more evenly.

menopause. completely changed my shape, my ability to lose weight etc. its shit. there is nothing good about it. I now eat half the calories I used to and have recently started weight training to build back the muscle that is lost during this wonderful process. worth getting some advice from your gp in case there are any other reasons for this but usually its the good ole menopause.

I had a lot of gynae tests last year which didn’t show up much just a couple of fibroids which they said weren’t anything to worry about
mum post menopausal but on HRT

Well fibroids can get bigger, so could be worth speaking to your GP.
