My colleague who is also a friend made a joke about how I’m wearing the same outfit I always wear at work today and made someone else laugh.

I’m overweight and extremely self conscious. I don’t wear the same outfit but I wear similar and always clean. I just don’t have the confidence to wear anything else and I think why buy new when I hate how I look …

I really thought people took notice what I wore but, and I did laugh it off as I can joke about myself but I feel a but upset.

I used to have a work capsule wardrobe. I went camping every weekend, often leaving on Friday night. Just think up some replies along the lines suggested here. I worked to live and that included not worrying about what I wore for work. I had a set work make up routine and nail colours, as well.

Insecure people tend to try and put others down to hide their own insecurities. Fuck them nothing wrong with not wanting to spend a fortune on a work wardrobe hold your head high ignore it.

I bet they never comment on men wearing the same suit or same jeans and t-shirt every day.
