Alternatives to Royal Mail..posting for traffic...puns not intended!

Hi all

Looking for alternatives for Royal Mail tracked services - now had two sets of papers go AWOL in a week - they were tracked delivery.

Does anyone know if DX, DHL etc will do the odd job for an individual rather than a company?

I've contacted via websites but the online info is often wrong and out of date these days. I physically went to one place named and they no longer do it.

Tomorrow I will head for the town centre to see what I can find, but MN is always great for recs and info so hoping posters will have experience of using alternatives.

thank you.

I have used collect plus for sending ebay sale items before now. My local corner shop does the collection and prints the label. If you look on their website it'll show you the nearest place.

I use inpost and Evri, RM have gone to hair here.

Collect + says this for my area "We no longer provide end to end parcel services. We are now the entry and exit point for parcels so if you have any queries, please contact the relevant partner."

I need it to go to the office directly so a locker system won't work.

haven't heard the phrase "gone to hair".

I must admit, I had no idea how screwed I'd be without Royal Mail.

hopefully DHL and DX will get back to me tomorrow. I'm wary of Evri or Yodel as they might just chuck the envelope at the office door.

I might just have to swallow the journey and train fare and take it in. Second week of work being buggered by Royal Mail. I very rarely get annoyed with customer service but after being told to allow at least a week when I paid for special delivery....!
