just as the title says really

I am registered with a gp surgery

someone known to me works for a completely different gp surgery but seems to have knowledge of my medical information

are they able to access my medical records even though they work at a separate surgery?

Yes absolutely, Shared all across the NHS and available through NHS online and My GP apps also.
Sounds like a terrible breach of GDPR, depending on context id be very angry and persuing a list of anyone whos pulled my details over the past 12 mths then asking for justification of said person looking and sharing that info.

You can make a complaint about databreach on ICo website. I had a similar issue and they found in my favour. they ook at it independently

No they can't. I work in a surgery. Even hospital doctors can't see your full gp records.

I met an ex nurse working in a petrol station who said managers are making CLINICAL DECISIONS on nhs!!! Its in a right state. She also advised, dont get ill !! lol

Even private is bad, same doctors just on higher rate. They end up referring you back to nhs....but you have t trust its a better system than most countries, so there is hope!

Myabe people should be held to account and a complaint made. Some Trusts cant access owhter Trusts notes easily but other times I think it can be done easily by staff in other surgeries. If you are worried and unhppy make a complaint they wil be on your side
