Please help me identify this musical artist/band

This is the worst description ever but it's been driving me mad, and nobody in real life can put me out of my misery, so I am hoping some kind soul on mumsnet can help. I have literally only three clues to help, plus a possible wildcard fourth clue (that I may or may not have imagined.)

  1. I think it's an all male group
  2. Kind of Samba-y, the kind of music you'd hear in Nandos?
  3. Songs have a bit of a Mas Que Nada kinda vibe, but it's not that!

Wild card 4th clue is that I vaguely remember the band name having machu/macho or similar in the title, a 'ch' sound somewhere.

I will be amazed if anyone can help me, but here goes...

Everyone, hold your horses, I think it could be Manu Chau

(The reason I'm asking is because my late DF - quite strangely considering his usual musical preferences - used to love this group/artist and play them all the time. It's making me sad that I can't remember and have a little play)

I will report back on whether Manu Chau is right - it meets the 'ch' sound/sounds like 'machu' criteria - we might be there!

Love Manu Chau, first heard him in a bar in France, went to the record shop next day and had to try and describe Mi Gustas Tu by whistling and bonging. Guy laughed and gave me the album shown above.
