What would your fantasy ideal life look like?

As in, what would you have done after school, where would you live, what would you spend your time doing?

If you could look back and re design with precision, what would you change?

Personally, I wish I'd had a clear direct path after school through university - instead I chopped and changed. My ideal probably would have been a Masters straight after and getting lucky with getting a place in some NGO that would have allowed me to work all over the globe in a whole variety of places.

Wish I'd learned another language ages ago too...

Basically I wish I'd moved faster in every respect!

What would you do?

Big lottery win.

JamSandle · 08/05/2023 21:57

Second winning the lottery.

Own two houses, one in UK and one overseas.

Be able to help people and animals.

I wish I’d followed a career as a clinical psychologist but at the time paid training options were very limited and I wasn’t geographically mobile due to DP job

I would have gone to university to study midwifery rather than my pointless degree.

I would also have sought therapy at a younger age which would have stopped me making bad choices in terms of relationships and overeating.

We (husband and kids - wouldn't change them) would live in the home we do now but it a nicer area

I would have kept up my creative writing and tried to get a novel published. I'd work at a garden centre on the side to keep myself financially afloat during the time I was writing too.

I'd want DH and DDs to be exactly the same, but we would live in a different area of the country, closer to my family.

Wouldn’t have been so desperate to get a ‘proper job’ and mortgage when I did. Would’ve spent my 20s travelling a bit…. Or trying different jobs, following interests etc.

like someone else has said- would’ve got some therapy for myself so that I can be confident in myself and have more healthy relationships…..

I feel like I’ve settled and held back in career, home etc.

I wanted to be a police officer after University (history degree) but my unaided eyesight was too poor.

If I had my time again I would have joined the RAF as an officer (I had considered it but by then had met DH who was a squaddie and it wasn't allowed back then!) I'd have made it to Wing Commander, then retired, bought a decent house with a big piece of land and would have a ton of rescue animals :) Possibly bred my dog breed.

Or a lottery win and land and a ton of animals. Maybe a holiday home somewhere sunny (Malta or Italy) and I'd learn a second langauge and have learned a musical instrument earlier.

I'd still have had four children though :)

I would have a career, own a home, be able to drive, have a husband, kids and a good group of friends.

This one but without the back pain.

Also I am an award-winning mystery novelist with no mortgage.
