To ask any medical professionals - steroid inhaler Q?

I have a kelhale steroid inhaler, not for asthma but I do have SOB on exertion so have been given this inhaler. I used it steadily for 3 months and while I did notice a difference initially it has since declined a bit. GP said no to changing inhaler/dose.

Here's the thing. I had a virus a couple of weeks back and was so unwell I didn't use the inhaler and now I'm seeing some days much better than others, when I was using it.

So can using a steroid inhaler make things worse at all? Or am I maybe getting better? I'm scared to restart the inhaler now in case it leaves me further SOB and I have a really busy week ahead!

I don't t want to be pumping my lungs full of steroid if it could have a counter effect
