To think there is no equivalent alternative to Center Parcs?

We go every year and this year have booked an exclusive lodge with hot tub, games room, sauna and steam room. Looks amazing! My love of CP is growing the older I get. The teenagers still love it and are now old enough to do what they like. We only do a couple of activities to keep costs down. I love the environment, the lodges and the pool. And the fact there's enough restaurants to eat out every night. We like lazy days and going out. So looking at next year. My daughter works in a private school so breaks up early in summer. We can therefore go at the beginning of the week but it's SO expensive even though term time. I've looked at loads of alternatives but cannot find anywhere else that compares like for like. Aibu to think it doesn't exist?!

@APurpleSquirrel I heard that on the news and thought of this thread

The kids loved it when they were young and it's very hood gor my eldest ds who is disabled. I really think the prices are extortionate now and they need to upgrade the facilities to justify it.

This reads like a marketing post

No one who doesn't work for center parcs describes a lodge as "exclusive".

Landal parks! I have been to Matlock and Kielder, I would recommend it. Kielder was my favourite

Its original idea was to be a holiday village for people who don’t go on “that kind of holiday”. A family break place you can take the kids to that’s more like a spa break. The DH always said fir him Center Parcs is still Butlins, but he doesn’t do package deal hols either. Basically, I’m more open minded but it still doesn’t really appeal and why is it so expensive??

I stayed at the Manor about 3 years ago and the decor was very basic and dated. The facilities and activities were great though
