Or any umbrella for that matter!

went to central London with young kids to see coronation and watch the big screens.

Impossible to see anything because of people completely blocking the view with brollies- couldn’t they just wear a jacket with a hood? People just don’t seem to have any consideration for others.

have been to meaning concerts in Hyde park in the past and have always been able to see the stage as people tend not to bring brollies to music events.

Obviously IANBU for thinking they are selfish twats, but AIBU to think they should be taken to the Tower?

Anyone using golf umbrellas off a golf course should be sent to the Tower. School pick ups (invariably the children of these parents have their own umbrellas too and hooded coats), commuting, shopping streets... just think about the world that does actually continue to exist outside the stupidly large circumference of your umbrella.

Unless you are made of glued together Beroccas, in which case you're not unreasonable to shield every square millimetre of your body from water.

@PegSliderskew a kindred spirit! Drives me nuts!!

Someone I follow on Instagram husband brought his fishing brolly. About twice the size of a golf one!

Hear blooming hear. Off with their heads! All I could see yesterday was some fuckers massive umbrella. Grr 😠

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 07/05/2023 16:40

It's all the bastards who just left their tents, sleeping bags and rubbish behind when they went home, littering the streets and making someone else clean up after them that I think been sending up The Tower.

LlynTegid · 07/05/2023 16:42

@FatAgainItsLettuceTime agree, along of course with Prince Andrew and all those who were partying the night before Prince Phillip's funeral.

I agree with banning umbrellas.

I also think there should have been a masssive clean up operation headed by the royals afterwards. Change out of their dressing up outfits, into jeans and hoodie, and each given a couple of bags and one of those picky stick things. That might have gained them some respect.

And while we're at it, every single person in the abbey yesterday, from the king downwards, should have put a generous donation in food bank collection boxes as they entered the building.
