To eat fishcakes a day out of date?

Sorry, I'm posting for traffic.

I've got fishcakes in the fridge and didn't realise they were "Use by 02/05". They are just tesco Thai salmon ones.

Do you think they'll be okay? Usually I would just do it but I'm 36 weeks pregnant so can't afford a dodgy stomach right now!

Definitely I'd eat them and in fact ate the Lidl equivalent a couple of days past the use by date last week! Actually they were Thai salmon burgers and very disappointing!

Next time if it says on the pack its ok to do so stick them in the freezer.

I would, cook them very well (maybe even overdone if you're worried). You're 36 weeks so as safe as you can be foodwise.

I'd eat them after about 3 days let alone one.

Thanks everyone, they smelt and looked fine and tasted even better so I'll let you know in a few hours if I'm ill 😂 hate wasting food!
