Dc had a school trip last week and I went with to help out with some of the other parents. Most of it though was me really having to try and make conversation. They are all nice people but much of it was just trying to make small talk. I work in an industry where people are often friends as well as colleagues so am not so used to making small talk. How much is it the same for other people? Do you actually connect with other parents at the school gate?
