I wrote the thread last night about being called ‘fcking huge by my mum and mocked and gaslighted. I received so much kindness and advice so thank you. It’s been a night of reflecting and I have realised I have been on the end of emotional & mental abuse by her for most of my life, especially after reading up on narcissistic parents. Starting a new thread to ask for separate advice regarding moving as I didn’t want to change the thread!
Basically, after living further away from my parents for a long time, I stupidly agreed to move back near them as my son has autism and quite severe learning disabilities and she convinced me it would be better for myself, my partner and my son. I’m not sure why I even did it but I almost just wanted to please her and she talked me into it, and after last night I have been deeply reminded of how painful it can be.
I have only been here for 4 months and am in a year long tenancy. I don’t want to be hasty but I just can’t believe I moved here and wish I hadn’t and am confident I want to go no contact.
If anyone is clued up, is there any way to end a tenancy early if there is no break clause - or would it be a case of paying until the end of the tenancy?
Any advice is much appreciated and I’m sorry for another post. All of the advice I received last night has given me the confidence to do this.
