Why is this?? So many occasions witnessing poor, dangerous driving it will be a van.
Today I was sitting in a traffic light controlled right turn lane at a very busy junction. Light goes green and van driver in front of me realises he won't get through the light before it goes red again. Instead proceeds to pull into the opposite carriage way and drive past the 3 cars in front of him also waiting to turn right and performing the right turn manoeuvre from the wrong side of the road!!!
People who think they are above the law and happy to put others lives at such danger for the sake of their convenience absolutely boil my piss!!
I know there are a lot of non-van drivers who are all just as dangerous but it seems more common amongst them??

I think you just notice them more because you are already negative about them so they stick in your mind more tbh.
I’m driving loads at the moment (motorway, city and towns every day for the last 6 weeks) and today I saw an arsehole DPD van driver but by far the worst, and often most impatient drivers, have been cars. Multiple cars every. Single. Day.

I agree with you OP. I assume a reasonable proportion of them are driving vans owned by their employer and care less about the vehicle. Added to that, they’re probably on a timescale and take more risks to get where they’re going more quickly, including running red lights.

They push their way in, park anywhere and pull out in front of traffic.

Lorries too. Even more scary because they’re so big.
