To feel disheartened that DD age 7 wet the bed last night?

We were doing so well, it had been nearly 6 weeks.

We've never had to have intervention as it would be a couple of times per week, just one accident, so not soaking the bed and not wearing pull ups. Had followed advice on the ERIC website. I personally feel she has developed the hormone to reduce urine production at night, it's just that she is a heavy sleeper and when she does need the toilet she doesn't wake.

Is it unusual for a normal 7.5 year old to wet the bed on occasion - which seems to be where we are at now? I suppose I should just be happy with the progress that's been made but I'm a worrier and she has a 1 night residential with school in July and is asking for sleepovers with friends.

Are drinks being limited before bed?

DD3 wet the bed on and off until she was 8 or 9, when it gradually petered out to never. Before that it became only when she was unwell, then not even then. We just put a washable bed mat under the bottom sheet to protect the mattress.

Glad you’re feeling reassured. We used an alarm with DD, a heavy sleeper, a year ago and it worked within a week. She’s 7. Then all of a sudden bed wetting started about 8 weeks ago, every night. Very strange but we are using the alarm again over last 3wks, progress is slower but getting there. She doesn’t seem to make the hormone yet as needs to pee every night, the issue is that she was rousing for it and for some reason stopped. I find it hard to be totally relaxed tbh, want her dry for holidays and the like, but do my best not to worry.
