That seems fair.

Hell yes. And banned from the cinema for life.

CoffeeDino · 30/04/2023 22:13

Yanbu. Cinema ushers need police powers.

Elvis1956 · 30/04/2023 22:14

Yep especially mothers who take children to a loud/Harry potter film and repeatedly ask "are you ok tarquin" or should I just let it go

GCWorkNightmare · 30/04/2023 22:14

For some reason people here have started taking multi packs of CRISPS to the cinema. 😡

BashfulClam · 30/04/2023 22:14

Or walk in once film had started and make a big performance of finding their seat. Shut up and sit the f*ck down!

MyBloodyMaryneedsmoreTabasco · 30/04/2023 22:15

The rustling issue I largely blame the cinema itself for, as they sell the offending items. What I really hate are people who use their phone throughout a film, I find the light insanely distracting.

foulksmills · 30/04/2023 22:16

People who loudly whisper to each other about what's about to happen on screen need the head-in-a-vice treatment à la Casino.

NancyJoan · 30/04/2023 22:17

Cinema phone users should be drowned. It’s the only way.

universityhelp · 30/04/2023 22:18

I don't go to the cinema anymore but agree. Solutions could be: old fashioned intervals bought back when people could go to the toilet, buy an ice cream etc. Surely most people can go more than two hours without food and who thought noisy popcorn was ever a good idea.

YANBU

Complain is my advice. A hearty email..
Went to see a PG with my dc. It was after 7pm. I bought 8 tickets!
Family (2 dps) in front had 3 dc including a new born. They took turns standing up rocking the dc and feeding it.. It didn't cry tbf but the swaying of alternate adults drove me mad!
I emailed and the response was they were surprised they got a baby past the door... I was refunded all our tickets... As imo I rightly should have.

And wave their arms around so their Smart watch lights up.

Oh and the repeated accidentally kicking the backs of our chairs was a real delight. We moved seats in the end but just reminded me why I rarely go to the cinema. Why do people not know how to behave anymore? Oh God I have turned into my mother.

I've turned into your mother too.

ItsBritneyBitchhhh · 30/04/2023 22:43

I work in a cinema and realistically, people will always speak once the film starts and during the film. People will be on their phones and you’ll always be allowed to eat whatever you want. What you gonna do ey!

KnittedCardi · 30/04/2023 22:44

I stopped going when our cinema started selling nachos. Just why.
