If this was a bloke it’d be very much ‘he’s just not that into you’ but my friend texts me all the time then is always busy when I suggest meeting. It’s confusing cos she texts me first, she’s always really really lovely but I don’t get the sense she has any intentions of ever meeting up! What do I do?!

Does she meet up with other people? Is it possible she's more of a texter than a meeter?

I don’t know. She sometimes mentions going out with a friend for dinner etc in passing. Never had a reason not to believe it but wonder if she’s saying it to sound more sociable… she’s not on SM so don’t see her friends on there or anything. We met on mat leave xx

Some people just like having a friend in February phone. I’d perhaps wait for them to suggest a meet up.

My time on this planet has taught me (painful lessons!) that you can’t second guess anyone’s behaviour or the reasons behind it.

I’ve adopted ‘mirroring’ as a way of managing my expectations of what a friendship is - essentially I’ve pulled back and watched/matched what the other person does to give them an opportunity to shape the relationship. Then I can decide if it suits me or not - if it doesn’t I let it slide/fizzle out.
