To be this irritated with DH and pram

Our DS isn’t in his pram much, but when he is, and DH pushes him he starts being really stupid.

He tips the pram backwards to do ‘wheelies’.

He starts running with it and zigzags.

He sometimes tips it forward.

DS isn’t a baby - he’s a toddler (pushchair) and to be fair doesn’t seem to mind these daft actions but equally he doesn’t seem amused or to enjoy it: he just sort of sits there and tolerates it.

To be clear here DS is not in any danger at all. And so I do think I’m maybe being a bit unreasonable because I start snapping and getting really annoyed when he does it. It isn’t actually harming anyone, but it makes me feel like I’m out with a stupid teenager. AIBU?

If your child isn't enjoying it, it seems like it's just for your husband's benefit - I guess he's trying to seem like a crazy, fun dad who's still a kid at heart, etc etc

If it's just this issue, I'd let it go - it won't be forever. But if this is part of a wider pattern of your DH wanting you to be Responsible Mummy and him to be Fun Daddy, then you might want to look into it.

My kids dad literally does the same thing🫠

I can’t explain how much it annoys me even though the kids don’t seem to care at all (we have a double buggy). He’ll constantly pop wheelies and push the buggy in a zig zag motion.

He also tips the buggy unnecessarily. Maybe we have kids with the same man child?! I don’t have any suggestions but it’s fucking annoying

DH and I both do this but our DS loves it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother at all. I can see why it would be super annoying.

My DH used to stand to the side of the pram, pushing it with one hand. It used to annoy the fuck out of me! YANBU.
