Has ANYONE been able to speak to a real person at HMRC within the last two days?

They are under so much pressure right now. The agent line has been turned off til June. It's disgraceful. Not enough staff at all.

Not in the last two days but I spoke to two different people on two different days last week. The first one was zero help mind, but I did get through each time - I called in the morning and it took about an hour on hold.

Only managed to get through on online chat. Use the "online assistant" and keep typing human until it gives up and puts you through

@Randobelia oh wow, really! That’s so awful. I called at 10 past 8 and have been trying ever since but I’ve finally given up.
