How do you deal with snidey people

The type who play games with people and always try and shut stir?
i want to tell them to F off and cut them off but I need to learn not to do this!

dd is in a comp dance team and one of the other mums is a massive stirrer literally makes stuff up always making out one girl is bullying her dd (when actually it’s her bullying the child). The mums dd is a nightmare too, starts rumours about others and always getting involved ugh!

Killing them with kindness doesn't work. I'm not bothered about being popular, so I'm honest and shut down any nonsense. They can only flourish if people are killing them with kindness and not challenging them.
