How often do you have chemistry with people?

I was at a group job interview recently and there were two women there, one in her 30s one in her 40s. They'd never met before, but within 10 minutes they were cracking jokes together and teasing each other in a light-hearted way.
I questioned whether they already knew each other but apparently they didn't. They were so at ease together instantly and you knew they'd have a good connection.
I don't often have that with people sadly, I know we won't have it with everyone and that's life. I recently met someone I did get on extremely well with like that but sadly he's only 18.
Thinking about work, been there nearly 4 months and there are a few people who ( feel more comfortable around than others, but nobody I feel a big connection with sadly.
Just wondered how easy it is for other people? I guess you either have it or you don't.

Yes, I met a friend of my best friend 4/5 years ago at an event and we just clicked straight away. No one in the world makes me laugh like she does. It was a really unexpected friendship that I am so grateful for.

Instant 'chemistry'? Pretty rarely, honestly.

I get on well with most people, and enjoy their company, but I do come away from a lot of interactions feeling a bit under-nourished, like it took more energy than it gave me.

Partly an introvert thing, but partly also not often finding people who feel like they're on the same wavelength. For me it takes a bit more vulnerability to feel true chemistry with someone – jokes and laughter are great, but they don't make me feel 'connected'. And the vulnerability side of things usually takes time.
