To wonder if DC doing GCSEs and A’levels this year will do as well as pre pandemic

I’ve got one DC about to do A’levels and another doing GCSEs. Obviously this is the first year exams are completely back to normal and grade boundaries back to pre pandemic levels. I am feeling nervous about it all as I do feel both dc we’re at disadvantage at the start of the courses and that the younger one especially would be in a better place if it hadn’t been for the pandemic. Older dc has to achieve high grades for university that have been pushed up by the inflated pandemic A’level grades. I know it’s got to go back to normal at some point so not sure if I’m being unreasonable.

Well by same as pre-pandemic means that the grade boundaries will be set so the same percentage gets the same grades as they did in 2019.
So overall the 2023 cohort will have (approximately) the same grade distribution as the 2019 cohort.
