Basic phone?

More of an am I being bonkers than a AIBU 😊. My dc has allergies and carries epipens etc. When I sign them up for clubs etc, I do ask all the relevant questions from the providers and provide them with allergy action plan etc. I wouldn't send my dc to a club if I don't feel like they know what they are doing with regards to allergies. That said, I always wonder if it's best if I were to send my dc in with a basic phone ? Not sure if having one would be of any use but might it be worth them having one? I obviously won't be sending dc in to school with one. Was only thinking of clubs ? What are your thoughts? I thought it'll be easy for even the club provider to contact me easily, in case of an emergency, if dc had own phone instead of going through their paperwork for my contact? I appreciate I might be being bonkers, but I have a lot of anxiety surrounding dcs allergies, so please be kind 🙏

I think in case of emergency they'll deal with the emergency and be referring to paperwork anyway, rather than rifling through a child's bag looking for a phone. Your child is old enough to say what they need to do once they know they are having an attack.

The club leader should be calling 999 not trying to call you if there is an emergency.

Medical ID bracelet is a good idea. Also good if your DC ever gets lost!
