To ask for your job interview advice - I have 4 interviews this week!

I have two interviews tomorrow, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. I've spent the weekend preparing. They are pretty similar to the job I'm currently doing but in different companies so I'm hoping they will go well.

Does anyone have any advice on things that make candidates stand out during interviews? They are all over Teams thankfully so I don't need to worry about getting there, what to wear, etc!

Also I had to take some extended sick leave last year due to a health issue. Should I bring this up in the interview in case it is flagged in a reference if I'm lucky enough to receive an offer or wait to see if it comes up in a reference check?

I've conducted a lot of interviews recently, the ones that have stood out to me are the candidates that tie their relevant experience into the job role they are being interviewed for. This shows they have actually researched the position and the company, and are actively demonstrating how they could be a good fit (rather than just talking through their CV without any acknowledgement of the position they are being interviewed for).

Also, smile and relax!

No don’t tell them about your sick leave! That’s not information anyone wants at interview stage.

As you have multiple interviews I’d maybe have a post-it ready for each one reminding you which job and company it is so you don’t muddle them up.
