There were roadworks being done on a main road near me today. Temp traffic lights up of so that both cars didnt go at once.
The company doing the roadworks Severn Trent didnt appear to carry on this morning, so that work could be finished and lights taken away. Obvs dont work on Saturday morning ST.
Worse still the lights failed and got stuck on red. This confused the traffic no end nobody knew when it was their turn to go. Lots of beeping and shouting and a car had an accident!!!
Someone phoned the number on the temp lights to tell them lights had failed. Nobody attended so the chaos still carried on.
AIBU to expect the people who put traffic lights up to be nearby if someone calls so they can come and get them working again.
Failing traffic lights and Severn Trent not finishing the job have caused chaos and an accident as people get confused by the broken traffic lights?
Unless someone responds and comes and fixes the lights this will carry on all weekend. 🙄
