Elderly family member was complaining of a pain in their shoulder/chest area, similar to that of a pulled muscle. Went to the doctors after about 6 weeks and was sent for an X-ray.
X-ray showed a 'cause for concern' so they we sent for a blood test. No blood test results given but was told they needed a CT scan. Agin, no results given but a letter received in the post with an appointment at the Respiratory Outpatients unit at the hospital.
Does anyone know what this could mean? What the likely possibilities/outcomes could be?
