To think these shoes look awful

Sorry, I reposted this as I fucked up the title before!..

I keep being plagued with this advert on MN for “sneaker-like heels” AIBU to think they look disgusting?

They’re obviously made of some type of thin stretchy material on top and you can see the model’s big toenails through the material even though she is lying down with her legs bent up. How awful would they look if you were standing up? You’d be able to see someone’s weird feet, toenails, bunions, the lot!

I prob am BU as I do hate feet though…

I keep getting the same adverts, how strange!

Precipice · 20/04/2023 15:28

I don't like the way they look. But for me, it's more the twisted look of the foot where it's rising up from the sole (the foot that's in the middle of the photo) which is a common look for feet in heels. I'm against heels for other non-aesthetic reasons, but I do also think they just look bad too.

determinedtomakethiswork · 20/04/2023 15:30

Yes, I get those adverts as well. They are really awful shoes!

VeggieSalsa · 20/04/2023 15:56

I actually quite liked the look of the flats so clicked on the ad, but they were £80 on sale for a pair of relatively basic flats. Not that nice.

Lakeyloo · 20/04/2023 16:11

I keep getting the bright green flat ones that look like someone knitted them

Mortimercat · 20/04/2023 16:16

I keep getting that ad too, I thought they did look like comfortable shoes. 😊

Guineapig123 · 20/04/2023 16:21

I hadn’t noticed the ad before but it has appeared on this page 😂

They are fugly and there is no way a pair of heels could be as comfy as trainers,

DowntownKingston · 20/04/2023 16:29

Never seen the ad, obviously someone must think that they would be more suited to those that see them 😆 A slip on stretchy knitted type shoe is very comfortable.

I’ll take that with the offence it was intended!! 😂

Totally agree, they are extremely ugly.

Howdoyou · 20/04/2023 16:55

Agree. They won’t be as comfortable as a pair of actual trainers so why even bother.

CC4712 · 20/04/2023 16:58

Ad Blocker 😉

thecatsthecats · 20/04/2023 17:23

Stretchy mesh boots were very 90s though, weren't they, and all that stuff is coming back in, isn't it?

As a generously-boobed woman is winds me up that boob tube and skinny straps are all I can find now.

23456v · 20/04/2023 17:32

I get that advert, too. I only wear minimalist/barefoot shoes, so I've no idea why the algorithm thinks I have the slightest interest in heels!

OrthopaedicShoesPlz · 20/04/2023 17:52

SAME! Thought it was due to my name, but clearly not.

They are HIDEOUS.

Restingbitch2 · 26/10/2023 07:32

Laughing to myself at the posts that imply critics of scrunch bum leggings must be frumpy old farts with saggy arses who are purely jealous they can’t wear them. 😆

Even if my arse was like Kylie Minogue’s golden-hotpants-wearing arse of the 90s, it is my opinion that they still look dreadful. They are comically awful. Eg I visited my (very stylish) mum and they cropped up in conversation as she has seen them in her town and was horrified that they were now a thing. She said something like “Have you seen these disgusting new trousers that stick up your arse?” 🙈
