As in, if I complained about my kids education I'd go to the HT and ultimately end up with the Director of Education. Who is similar but in Scottish social work?

The Scottish Social Services Council is the official regulator but any complaint should usually start with the employer - council or NHS. Check their web sites for details of how to complain.

Thank you though. Do you have a name of someone senior and reliable please?

As PP said, you can't go straight to the regulator with a complaint as they'd expect the relevant organisation to try and resolve it first. Start with local authority director of social work/chief executive. And no, I don't have any names, that's what Google and the council websites are for.

link to an example - Glasgow City Council complaints procedure.

Phone the social work office they work out of and ask to speak to either the social workers manager or a duty manager (different places have different job titles).
