Mean girls in school office

Do all schools contain the gossips and mean girls in the office?
Fed up of hearing the bitchiness.

I'm taking it you're an employee and not a pupil? Please correct me if I'm wrong
Throughout my whole working life working in offices, there are always means 'girls'. Grown, adult, 'mature' women being ansolute nasty, bullying birches. So no, it's not exclusively school offices they thrive it.

Thank you. I’m actually a parent. And the talk could be about other parents or it could be about children. It’s just whenever you are waiting for something. It just feels so awful considering they are always telling the children not to gossip.

Do you mean you have been waiting at the school office and have heard school admin staff bitching about parents or pupils? Repeatedly?

What sort of things are they actually saying?

Well, in them circumstances, surely you report it?

The school my children I attend and the one I work at keep the gossip in. I don’t think any of it is intended to be nasty…

Such a parent needs to cut the apron strings, such a child drives everyone crazy, such a child left because mum got a new fella, etc etc

YABU. I’m a teacher and the people who work in our school office are lovely - and very professional.

No, they certainly aren’t. If this is school staff openly gossiping about identifiable children/parents in the hearing of another parent then that is massively unprofessional and should be reported either to the head or to the safeguarding lead/family support lead.
